Background
Establishing in 1982, MSA grew from humble beginnings operating out of Peter Roe's garage, initially manufacturing motocross safety apparel with employing only one machinist. The business expanded with the manufacture of aftermarket automotive vehicle trim for Toyota New Zealand Limited, Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand Limited and General Motors New Zealand Limited. The expansion necessitated a move to commercial factory premises. With continued business growth, a purpose built office and factory facility was built in which the company currently operates from.
With the advent of vehicle imports, MSA’s historical automotive lines declined.
